Rana granosa - Hypsiboas cinerascens

This South American frog belonging to the species Hypsiboas cinerascens (Hylidae) is recognizable by its solid green color, rough skin, evenly-spaced little yellow dots, and blue rings around its eyes.

This is a nocturnal and arboreal frog found in natural and secondary tropical rainforests, and in clearings. Occurs in the Guianas, in the Amazon Basin in Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia.

A recent study (2013) based on an integrative analysis of individuals collected in the Ecuadorian and Peruvian Amazon, shows that Hypsiboas cinerascens is in fact a species complex.

lets-get-fit-madafaka:

This happened yesterday here in Córdoba, Argentina.

Two girls broke into the runway, interrupting a fashion show, as you can see, trying to send a message. Their bodies and posters said:

  • Stop Ana & Mia
  • There’s nothing wrong with my body. Your trends are wrong.
  • Pussy Riot (the name of a feminist russian band)
  • We are not objects. Our bodies are not yours to objectify
  • More healthy bodies

Of course, a lot of people complained, but the good thing? a lot of people is talking about it. Let the ideas sink in their minds. I am happy!!!!
